Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Project

CEELS has implemented this project in Mbeya City Council (Mbeya region) since 2021, in collaboration with Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) and other local CSOs such as Sauti ya Mama Africa and Mercy World Organization(MEWO).

MST supports capacity building to CSOs in advocacy and the CSOs implement project activities on voluntary basis for the CSOs do not receive funds from MST.  Activities implemented include mapping and creating awareness on availability of comprehensive post abortion care (CPAC) services and advocacy to youth and women to improve community awareness on sexual and reproduction health issues, prevention of unplanned pregnancies, and advocacy for human right for youths and women in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) issues as it reflects in the Maputo Protocol.

The intervention is contributing to improved awareness about the health risks of unsafe abortion and in making informed decision among young people on family planning.
