USAID Kizazi Hodari (Brave Generation) Southern Zone Project
Funded by PEPFAR through Deloitte Consulting Limited, since October 2023, CEELS implements USAID Brave Generation Southern Zone project for sustaining HIV epidemic control among pregnant and breastfeeding women, adolescents, infants, and children in Rukwa and Katavi regions.
The primary purpose of Kizazi Hodari Southern Zone Project is to seamlessly continue the delivery of high-quality health/HIV, social welfare, and protection services for OVC, and their caregivers, to support the advancement of OVC program contribution to HIV epidemic control. The Projct is implemented by CEELS in collaboration with Deloitte Consulting Limited, as the prime implementing partner. The activities are executed through family and communities and engage the social welfare workforce including Community Case Workers (CCW), Lead Case Workers (LCWs) and National Integrated Case Management System (NICMS) Assigned Officers. It also include coordination and integration with the health workforce and PEPFAR clinical partners to improve bi-directional referrals between clinical and community for efficient HIV service delivery with complementary social service delivery.
To improve household and youth livelihood, CEELS screens for economic vulnerabilities and provides vocational scholarship and business startup kits and linkage to community Saving and Lending Groups (VSLG) to improve saving, financial literacy, access to credit, and overall income generation.
